They all use onboard audio, but apparently it only loads the drivers for the onboard audio on the original MS-6734! it worked just fine, but the audio didn't work. I'm not a computer guy but I was using software 1.08b, I had a burnt up MSI MS-6734, according to that chart I tried to replace it with a K8M800.

I've been doing more on these Target Terrors. Maybe this isn't quite the game to try and put into a multi setup after all. It also looks like you would have to do something special to power the board since the motherboard takes a normal ATX type of power harness to power it and the HDD needs power as well. It's a pretty big dip in resolution from VGA to the lower ones. So is that all that is needed for the kit version of this to work in any old JAMMA cabinet? What is the USB stick for?Īnd has anyone ran this game on non-VGA resolution? I'm curious to hear how it actually looks. (obviously will need cables to connect the boards too) It also looks like it shows exactly what parts are needed for the kit version. It clearly does state that it can use all 3 resolutions. I looked at the monitor model in the cabinet and I believe it is a Neotec 2515C if I remember correctly. What exactly is the 'kit' version of this then? now there is another wrench in there lol. Okay so I had initially read that there was dip switch settings to change between the different resolutions, but after another quick google search, it appears only the kit version works this way. So I am just a bit confused about all of this and was wondering if someone with knowledge can just lay it all out there for me as to what actually makes a complete game that I could get up and running? And does it just end up being a JAMMA connector + the 2 guns that get connected to the game? Or is it a bit more than that? I'm also trying to figure out if it will be something straight forward to add to a switcher or not. Then I see there is a Target Terror Gold version, which I am assuming is the original one + more? Is that correct? But then I saw some like full computers with case and stuff, and then something about USB dongle, then I saw an installation CD. It looks to be a motherboard, HDD, and some I/O board.

I know that it's not just a PCB + HDD like Maximum Force and Area 51 are. I've been trying to do some research on Target Terror and see if I could find the PCB for sale somewhere and I can't really find a straight answer on exactly what the hardware involves. And Target Terror is one of those games that are on my list. I just picked up a working Maximum Force cabinet this past weekend and my goal is to make this a project and hookup a switcher and have 6-8 light gun games in there eventually.
